Waterfront Engineering, Design, & Construction, Inc. is a civil engineering firm located in Pasadena, MD that specializes in site design and development of waterfront property.
We evaluate and prepare site plans, design specifications and drawings for the construction of various maritime projects such as shoreline restoration and erosion control, channel dredging, residential piers, commercial marinas, as well as retaining walls, jetties, storm water management systems, sediment/erosion control plans and building permits for individual, commercial, and public sector clients. We also handle the entire permitting process, creating a hassle-free experience for our clients.
Principal, Scott Mielke, is a licensed P.E.with over 28 years of engineering experience and 27 years of specialized experience in design and construction management of shoreline erosion control projects, private and public marinas and piers, channel dredging and sediment/erosion control projects.
He is regarded as an expert in the field of marine construction, shoreline erosion as well as marina development and other various projects that often involve development of waterfront properties. He often makes presentations to local environmental and zoning groups, Maryland Department of the Environment, the Army Corps of Engineers, EPA, Fish and Wildlife, and the Maryland Historical Trust as well as local community groups. He provides expert testimony and engineering reports for general litigation, regulatory issues, environmental impacts, safety of navigation and general design matters before the City of Annapolis Port Wardens, the Anne Arundel and Queen Anne’s County Board of Appeals as well as Circuit and District Court trials.
